Summary:
Coach Falco graduated from Sachem in 1984 where he played Varsity Football, Basketball and Baseball.  The football team in 1983 went undefeated (9-0-1) and won the Suffolk County Championship under Hall of Fame Head Football Coach Fred Fusaro. 

He graduated from Cortland State in 1990 where he was a 4 year letter winner in Football. His senior season at Cortland the football team had a regular season record of 9-0 and went on to the second round of the NCAA playoffs. He broke the all-time receiver record  and was the first player in Cortland history to have over 100 receptions in career. Upon completing his eligibility Coach Falco began his coaching career in 1989 when he was hired as the receiver coach for the Red Dragon Varsity football team. He coached varsity football (NCAA Div III) for six seasons with the Red Dragons coordinating their pass game and recruiting Westchester & Long Island.

Coach Falco returned to Sachem in 1995 where he was an assistant for Fred Fusaro. He held that position for 8 years, coordinating the offense and coaching receivers, quarterbacks  and outside linebackers.

In 2003 he was named the 4th head coach in Sachem history. Coach Falco teaches physical education at Sachem North

Coach Falco is a 23 year member of the American Football Coaches Association and is the Section XI  representitive for the NY State HS Football Coaches Association sitting on the executive committee. He is also the section XI Representative for Division I. He serves as one of three site directors for the NYSHSFCA Spring Combine. In the spring of 2010 he coached running backs in the Boomer Out Back Steak House Challange All-Star game. He was also named defensive coordinator of the first UpState Downstate HS Football Classic held in the Carrier dome in Syracuse held in June 2010. In 2011 Falco will again coach running backs in the Outback Steak House Challangein 2011.

A 1979 graduate of Sachem , Joe enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps where he played football. He started his coaching career in 1994 as a volunteer assistant at Seneca Jr. High. In 1999, Coach Cannone coached All-Long Island and All-New York State Kicker Chris Onorato. That year, he coached in the Outback Steakhouse Challenge and the Governor's Bowl.  Joe joined the varsity staff in 2007 after many years in the program at the middle school and JV 10 levels. Having had two sons play in the program (Joe & John) he has a great understanding of the demands placed on our student athletes. " Joe has had great success coaching some of Sachem's greatest running backs.  He is a tireless worker and gives our kids a great opportunity to be successful on the football field and off"
 
Coach Cannone will be coaching the linebackers in the First Upstate - Downstate Football Classic to be played at the Carrier Dome in the Spring of 2010

David Caputo is a graduate of Sachem High School (Class of ’96), where he played football for legendary coach Fred Fusaro and served as a captain of the varsity team, playing on the Suffolk County Championship team in 1995 and earning All-Long Island honors.           

 
He continued his playing career as a defensive back at Cornell University, where he earned All-Ivy honors during his senior season and had the privilege of being coached by Bill Arnsparger (Defensive Coordinator of the 1972 Miami Dolphins); Raheem Morris (Head Coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers) and Pete Mangurian (Tampa Bay Buccaneers).   

Coach Caputo returned to Sachem in 2003 to begin his career as a social studies teacher and baseball, track, and football coach. He served as Defensive Coordinator of the Sachem East varsity football team from 2005-2007.  He joined the Sachem North varsity football staff in 2008 and was named the Defensive Coordinator in 2009. 

Coach Caputo will be coaching the defensive backs in the first Upstate-Downstate Football Classic to be played at the Carrier Dome in the spring of 2010.
 
He lives in Lake Grove, New York with his wife, Jackie, and their two-year old son, Anthony.

Nick begins his second year on the staff at Sachem North after coaching at Sachem East from 2004-2008. He was the architect of an offensive line that helped the Flaming Arrows rush for over 3900 yards in 2009.  "Nick did an outstanding job with an offensive line that didn't have that much experience going into the 2009 season". Nick will also coach the defensive ends in 2010.

Alex joins the coaching staff after his return from playing wide receiver at SUNY Cortland. A 2005 Sachem Alum Alex played football both at East and North as he was a member of the Sachem team that was split during reconfiguration. Alex has worked with our receivers in the summer and will coach them in 2010 as well as handle the scout team. "Having a player that recently played the position at the college level will give our kids an advantage and will help us develop our pass game."

Mike begins his second year on the Flaming Arrow coaching staff and gets credit for the flexbone offense in 2009  that rushed for over 3900 yards in his first season at Sachem. He has a wealth of coaching experience being an assistant at John Glen High School and Long Island Catholic power St. Anthonys. In 2010 Mike will coach the Quarterbacks and the outside linebackers.

Thomas begins his second on the staff at Sachem North. In 2010 he will take over as the defensive line coach. Having had a great career at SUNY Albany where he starred on their defensive line gives him instant credibility with our players. He did a great job scouting our opponents last year and will bring that expertise to his coaching duties in 2010.
